What did you do for Valentine’s day? We spent the day spoiling our little valentine. He had conversation hearts for breakfast, and key lime pie for desert… and a few treats in between. This year marks the 16th that Stephanie and I have been found loving each other on the 14th of February. We hope you all enjoyed a day devoted to the one you love, or spent the day doing what you love.
Our valentine fell head over heals in love with the foil wrapped chocolate hearts, an enormous sucker and two new books that arrived in the mail from his secret admirer over 3000 miles away.
He loves his new dinosaur backpack and driving his new tractor around the house up and down and all over the terrain. His admirers provided him with an abundance of love, a bunch of chocolates and classic conversation hearts which he is infatuated with.
Over the past few years, Stephanie and I have come to enjoy preparing a menu for our Valentine’s dinner, so after finding a few good recipes on Pinterest, and realizing that we didn’t have grits as originally planned, guess I forgot to shake the canister in the cupboard, who knew it was practically empty – oh, well…. we had in the menu ready.

Preparing the desert, Key Lime Pie was simple. First you must head to the kitchen, open the cupboard and close them fairly loud and appear to look somewhat confident that you know what you need. Second, drive to the grocery store. Third, go to frozen desert aisle. Fourth, find box that reads “Key Lime Pie” and put it in your cart. I couldn’t make these instructions any easier.
A few years ago on Valentines Day, I was working away in my office when I was interrupted by a quartet of Sweet Adeline’s serenading me – these ladies were all decked out, and performed a beautiful number. Stephanie certainly set the bar high for the most embarrassing and one of the most memorable Valentines Days. Do you have any Valentine’s Day memories or traditions that are significant in your relationship? What about a gift that made an impression?

Awe- so glad he loved the books and treats
Love!!! xo
